President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree authorizing the State Electric Power Corporation “Türkmenenergo” of the Ministry of Energy to conclude contracts with the Japanese company Sumitomo Corporation.

According to TDH, the document was signed "for the purpose of reliable and uninterrupted power supply to domestic consumers."

According to the Resolution, the contracts are aimed at systematically strengthening the material and technical base of the gas turbine units of the Lebap State Power Plant and other GTES operating in the country.
