President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived on a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation to participate in the XVI BRICS Summit. According to TDH, this is the first participation of the head of the Turkmen state in this format, highlighting Turkmenistan's high international authority and its active role in international efforts to ensure peace and security.

The presidential airliner landed at Gabdulla Tukay International Airport, where Serdar Berdimuhamedov was warmly welcomed by the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and other officials.

From the airport, the head of Turkmenistan proceeded to the residence allocated for the visit – the Guest House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation.

Representatives from 36 countries and six international organizations are participating in the BRICS summit. The forum started on October 22.
