A ceremonial opening of the International Wellness and Rehabilitation Center with 400 places and the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology with 250 places took place in Ashgabat, reports TDH.

The ceremony was attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The opening of the new facilities was an important event as part of the celebration of the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers.

'As a result of the consistent implementation of the State Program "Saglyk", the main developer and ideological inspirer of which is the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who has long overseen the healthcare sector, the infrastructure of the industry has been expanding in recent years, its material and technical base has been strengthened, and innovative technologies, the best world experience, and achievements in the field of medicine are being actively introduced,' the statement said.
