WHO/Europe specialists visited Turkmenistan on a technical advisory mission

Experts from the WHO Regional Office for Europe visited Turkmenistan on a consultative and technical visit. The purpose of the visit was to help strengthen the national laboratory capacity for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance, the MIC reports.

The mission was organized by the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan with the support of the WHO Regional Office for Europe. The mission representatives visited AMR surveillance laboratories and held meetings and seminars with relevant specialists.

WHO/Europe consultant Marina Suhorukova also presented recommendations for the preparation of National Guidelines for AMR Laboratory Surveillance, the source notes.
