The Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan to the Commission on Economic Issues at the CIS Economic Council, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdiyev took part in the regular meeting of the CIS Economic Council, which was held in Moscow on June 21.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the CIS Economic Council, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk.

As reported on the website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, the participants of the meeting heard information about the main target macroeconomic indicators for the development of the economy of the CIS member states in 2023. These indicators objectively characterize the state of the economies of countries, the dynamics of their development and are guidelines for decision-making by public authorities in the political, economic and social spheres. It was noted that in 2023, the CIS member states generally adhered to the recommended values of indicators characterizing macroeconomic stability.

The issues of the epizootic situation in the CIS member countries in 2018-2023 were also considered, an Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Automotive Industry was approved, a decision was made to amend the Concept of formation and development of an interstate system of training, professional retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of scientific and technical information.
