The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care has been awarded a certificate from the UN Mission in Turkmenistan.
The certificate was awarded for a valuable contribution to helping children in need and implementing the basic principle of the 2030 Agenda "leave no one behind".
Dmitry Shlapachenko, the UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan, who took part in the forum on the occasion of the Foundation's Foundation day, noted that the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, preventive diplomacy, and Turkmenistan's foreign policy initiatives on topical regional issues are constantly supported by the Community of Nations and other reputable international organizations.
At the same time, the importance of the principle of neutrality for the development of peaceful, friendly and constructive relations between States and peoples was emphasized.
Expressing congratulations on the occasion of the unanimous adoption of the Resolution "2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust" on the initiative of Turkmenistan at the 63rd plenary session of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, D. Shlapachenko stressed that this significant event is a clear confirmation of the broad support from the world community for the policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov aimed at maintaining peace and ensuring well-being and sustainable development at the regional and global levels.
Independent, neutral Turkmenistan is in fact demonstrating its commitment to the programmes developed by the United Nations in relation to the rights and interests of children.
In this regard, Dmitry Shlapachenko presented a certificate awarded to the Charitable Foundation for its valuable contribution to helping children in need and implementing the basic principle of the 2030 Agenda "leave no one behind," TDH reports.
