On November 26, the International Conference and Exhibition "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Connectivity and Development – 2024" began its work. The event highlights the significant reforms in Turkmenistan's transport and communication infrastructure, initiated by the National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and implemented under President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. These efforts have strengthened Turkmenistan's position as a major international transport hub.

The forum, held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, features around 600 representatives from over 40 countries, including international organizations like the UN, OSCE, and the World Bank, as well as various diplomatic missions and media. Participants include representatives from major logistics and transportation companies, such as Fly Dubai, Cargo Lux, and Lufthansa Consulting.

The main goal of this large-scale event is to enhance transport connectivity, develop strategic partnerships, and promote sustainable and inclusive transport systems. The forum also focuses on the implementation of "green" technologies, digital transformation, and eco-friendly logistics.

The exhibition showcases achievements in transport and communication systems, modern transport equipment, and various logistics services. A notable highlight is the pavilion dedicated to the first "smart" city in the region, Arkadag.

Turkmenistan places great importance on integrating advanced technologies into its transport sector, expanding digital services, and modernizing communication infrastructure. The country is actively working on national programs to modernize its transport infrastructure and integrate it into the international transport network.

The forum will conclude on November 27.
