The International Forum 'Türkmentel – 2024' successfully concluded in Ashgabat. As per tradition, the finale of the annual forum coincided with the award ceremony for the winners of the 'Digital Solution-2024' innovative projects competition, organized by the 'Türkmenaragatnaşyk' agency to support the talented youth of our country.
Representatives of leading educational institutions, relevant ministries, and departments presented a significant number of IT technology projects at the competition, covering areas such as software development, robotics, healthcare, and other innovative developments.
The projects were evaluated by an expert jury consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry, and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, who determined the winners in seven main categories.
In the 'Healthcare' category, the first place was awarded to Baýnazar Muhammedow, a student at the Turkmen Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics, for his program using PECS cards for communication with people with special needs.
The first place in the 'Artificial Intelligence' category was awarded to Shatlyk Shöhradow from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University for his project related to the diagnosis of seven different diseases.
The best project in the 'Robotics and Automation' category was the innovative 3D printer for ceramics and construction presented by Ýazmuhammet Agamyradow from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University.
Alyosh Amanow from the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan won first place in the 'Smart Agricultural Technologies' category with his 'Smart Ship' project for collecting plastic waste.
In the 'Smart City' category, Emir Şammaýew, a student at School No. 140, won with a device that generates electricity from pedestrian movement.
The first place in the 'Education and E-Learning' category was awarded to Arslan Bäşimow from the National Security Institute for his project to study natural and historical monuments using photogrammetry.
In the 'Service Systems' category, Artur Bahtyýarow, a student at School No. 129 in Ashgabat, took first place with his 'Tick' social network and messenger project.
The 'Digital Solution-2024' competition, held from October 22 to November 1, 2024, was a vivid example of the high creativity and professionalism of young specialists.
The organization of such events contributes to the growing interest in IT technologies in Turkmenistan. This is reflected in the increasing number of young people striving to master this dynamically developing field. Educational institutions in the country are increasingly implementing modern courses and programs aimed at training qualified personnel in programming, software development, and robotics.
