Turkmenistan and the USA discussed the implementation of joint projects

Turkmenistan and the USA considered the possibilities of implementing economic, energy, and infrastructure projects acceptable from the perspective of sustainable development.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the discussion took place during a meeting between the Chairman of the Board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rahimberdi Jepbarov, with the President of the Export-Import Bank of the USA (EXIM), Reta Jo Lewis, and the Deputy Special Envoy for Climate of the US Department of State, Richard Duke, on Wednesday in Washington.

During the meeting, mechanisms for financing sustainable projects and attracting advanced technologies were also studied. The parties noted the importance of joint efforts in ensuring sustainable development, discussing possible sources of financial and technological resources to achieve these goals.

EXIM is a US government bank that supports American exports by providing loans, guarantees, and insurance for foreign buyers, stimulating the purchase of US products and contributing to job creation within the country.
