On November 3, on the widely celebrated professional holiday of workers in the construction and industrial complex in our Homeland, a ceremony was held in the Etrek district of the Balkan region to open a new power plant. Deputies of the Mejlis, leaders and representatives of the regional and district administrations, the electric power sector, public organizations of the country, and esteemed elders participated in the event.

The festive atmosphere of the event was enhanced by musical performances by cultural and artistic figures of the region.

Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, program measures are being implemented for the further modernization of the material and technical base of the electric power industry and the creation of a reliable energy system. Another clear example of this is the commissioning of the "Etrek" power plant with a capacity of 220 kV, equipped with modern equipment from well-known global manufacturers.

Great importance was attached to environmental requirements during its construction. Implementing large-scale projects of regional and international significance in the energy complex, Turkmenistan approaches environmental and environmental protection issues on a responsible scientific basis. Therefore, one of the main tasks in the socio-economic reforms of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is the active introduction of resource-saving, environmentally friendly technologies and the use of highly efficient equipment that fully meets the relevant requirements.

As noted by the speakers, important projects are being implemented by the Ministry of Energy to successfully realize the country's energy policy. As a result of the reforms carried out in the electric power industry in recent years, reliable energy capacities have been created, providing conditions for meeting the population's needs for electric energy.

All this allows not only to fully meet the needs of domestic consumers but also to increase the volume of exports of Turkmen electricity to foreign countries.

The participants of the event expressed their sincere gratitude to Arkadagly Hero Serdar and Hero-Arkadag for their constant attention to the development of the electric power sector of the national economy.

During the opening ceremony, gifts were presented to the most distinguished builders on behalf of the President of the country.

Also today, the "Bagyr" power plant with a capacity of 110 kV was commissioned in the city of Ashgabat. This became another vivid testimony to the success of the large-scale activities carried out to develop and further modernize the country's electric power industry under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, increasing its production capacities.

Thus, the commissioning of new electric power facilities today has once again confirmed the success of the development strategy implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state.
