In Russia, equipment for high-speed communication of satellites with the Earth in the X-band has been developed. This was reported by TASS, citing the press service of the leading Russian IT company Sitronics Group.
The development belongs to the private company 'Sputniks,' which is part of the Sitronics Group.
The high-speed X-band radio link allows data to be transmitted from the data-collecting equipment of the spacecraft at speeds of 600 - 1750 Mbps. At the same time, the company's developers managed to achieve optimal block sizes for integration on board any satellites, including small ones. The equipment weighs no more than 15 kg.
This development won the 'Sky, Communication, and Space Technologies' category at the international BRICS Solutions Awards competition.
