The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, sent a letter to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in which he expressed gratitude for the warm welcome during the official visit to Turkmenistan on October 10-11, 2024, reports TDH.
As a result of the visit, important agreements were reached on key areas of cooperation, and a number of bilateral documents were signed.
In his letter, the Kazakh leader particularly noted Turkmenistan's contribution to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries. In particular, he thanked for the installation of a monument to the Kazakh poet and philosopher Abai Kunanbayev in Ashgabat, calling it a symbol of Kazakh-Turkmen friendship.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the successful holding of the international forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fragi and expressed gratitude for the anniversary medal presented to him.
In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan confirmed his intention to continue close cooperation between the countries in the spirit of strategic partnership, good neighborliness, and mutual support.
