On October 14, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

After exchanging greetings, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the fruitful development and strengthening of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, including in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The head of the friendly country expressed sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the invitation to participate in the high-level forum held in honor of the great Eastern thinker Magtymguly and for the award of the jubilee medal, asking Hero-Arkadag to convey his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan.

The wise poet praised universal values such as peace, goodness, and humanity in his works. His literary heritage remains relevant today. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the great Magtymguly Pyragy is highly revered in Uzbekistan, his work is well known, and the international conference held in Ashgabat is of great importance in strengthening friendly ties between peoples.

Thanking for participating in the international forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, Hero-Arkadag once again congratulated the Uzbek leader on being awarded the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan "Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna".

The National Leader of the Turkmen people also noted that he fondly remembers the meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the forum.

Hero-Arkadag emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations based on the traditions of good neighborliness. The high level of mutual trust and openness inherent in intergovernmental dialogue is the main tool for developing effective cooperation.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, fuel and energy, transport and communication, and agricultural sectors were discussed, as well as the implementation of previously reached agreements and planned joint projects.
