Today, October 10, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived on an official visit to Turkmenistan, reports TDH.

At the International Airport of Ashgabat, the distinguished guest was welcomed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The welcoming ceremony included an honor guard and the traditional presentation of bread and salt, as well as flowers by children in national costumes.

At the airport, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a bilateral meeting.

During the conversation, confidence was expressed that this visit and the upcoming high-level talks in Ashgabat will become an important stage in the development of long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
