The World Conference on Digital Education was held in Shanghai from January 29 to 31, 2024. The forum was attended by 800 representatives from 70 countries and regions, including 20 ministers of education. As part of the Turkmen delegation, the conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and the “Turkmenaragatnashyk” Agency. The main goal of the conference is to take education to a new level with the help of advanced technologies. It was noted that the modernization of digital education contributes to the development of an equal and high-quality education system, as well as the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The participants emphasized the importance of studying the best practices of the PRC and increasing cooperation with China in the field of digitalization of education. Representatives of China at the conference stated the need to take multilateral cooperation in the field of digital education to a new level. China also presented reports on the development of digital education in the world and cooperation with other countries. Also, within the framework of the conference, the World Alliance for Digital Education officially began its work, designed to develop cooperation between leading universities in the field of digitalization. The development of artificial intelligence was also discussed.
At the end of the conference, it was stated that China will actively use the world's best practices in digital education and introduce innovations to contribute to the formation of a community of shared destiny.
