During an official visit by the delegation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan to the People's Republic of China, Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Azat Atayev met with Sung Gang, Director of the "ICT Partner Talent Development" department at Huawei.
The main topic of discussion was the prospects for cooperation in the digital transformation of Turkmenistan's educational system and the development of ICT personnel to ensure the innovative growth of the country's economy, according to the Ministry of Education.
Key areas of cooperation discussed included the development of digital infrastructure for educational institutions, the creation of innovation and research centers, and internship and professional development programs.
"Huawei" proposed integrating its certified courses on 5G, IoT, and cloud computing technologies into the curricula of leading universities in Turkmenistan. The use of cloud solutions and artificial intelligence in educational processes to personalize learning and improve its quality was also discussed.
The parties agreed to continue discussions on specific steps to implement the proposed initiatives, aiming to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and Huawei.
An educational technology ICT center is planned to be established, which will serve as a platform for experience exchange and promotion of joint initiatives in key areas such as big data, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and the Internet of Things.
