On September 16, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and the heads of the regions, where they discussed the progress of seasonal work in the agro-industrial complex and the regions of the country, as well as the implementation of the National Rural Program.
The first report was given by the head of the Ahal region, S. Soltanmyradov, who reported on the state of affairs in the agricultural sector of the region.
As noted, work is currently underway to harvest cotton as quickly as possible and without losses, with the effective use of cotton harvesters and other equipment. All necessary measures are being taken to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of harvested raw cotton to warehouses and reception points.
In addition, wheat sowing continues in an organized manner on the region's agricultural lands. Agricultural machinery and equipment are being used to their full capacity. Vegetative irrigation is being carried out on the sown areas.
Care and harvesting of ripe crops are being carried out in the fields sown with potatoes, vegetables, and other crops.
Information was provided on the progress of construction within the framework of the President of Turkmenistan's Program for the socio-economic development of the country for 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program of various facilities planned for commissioning this year.
After hearing the report, the head of state noted that an important requirement of the day is the organized sowing of wheat and the harvesting of cotton, giving the head of the region a number of specific instructions.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also instructed to monitor the quality and timing of the construction of various facilities planned for opening this year.
The head of the Balkan region, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the pace of seasonal work in the agricultural sector of the region.
As noted, necessary measures are currently being taken to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of the harvested crop to cotton processing enterprises and reception points, as well as the effective use of cotton harvesters and equipment for transporting raw cotton.
In addition, in order to conduct high-quality wheat sowing, agricultural machinery and equipment are being used to their full capacity. Vegetative irrigation has begun on the sown areas to obtain uniform seedlings.
In order to fulfill the tasks set by the head of state to further strengthen the country's food abundance, care is being taken for the crops of potatoes, vegetables, and other crops.

Summarizing the report and emphasizing that the current season is crucial for agriculture, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered the necessary measures to be taken for the high-quality and timely sowing of wheat, as well as the harvesting of cotton without losses.
At the same time, the head of state instructed to keep the pace and quality of construction of facilities within the framework of the National Rural Program, planned for opening this year, under constant control.
The working meeting continued with a report by the head of the Dashoguz region, D. Babayev, on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As noted, measures are currently being taken to accelerate the pace of cotton harvesting within the established time frame and without losses. Combines and other equipment are being used effectively in the fields. Efforts are being made to ensure the uninterrupted operation of cotton reception points.
In accordance with agricultural standards, wheat sowing continues in an organized manner within the established time frame. Vegetative irrigation has begun on the plots where seedlings have been obtained.
In addition, work is being carried out on the sowing of winter crops, care for the sown areas, and the harvesting of grown crops, as well as preparation for rice harvesting.
The head of the region also reported on the progress of construction of social and industrial facilities, which are planned to be commissioned this year within the framework of the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan identified the main tasks as the sowing of wheat in accordance with agricultural standards, the harvesting of raw cotton as quickly as possible and without losses, giving specific instructions to the head of the region in this regard.
In accordance with the country's socio-economic development programs, the head of state also ordered to monitor the quality of construction of buildings and structures of various purposes, planned for commissioning this year.
Then the head of the Lebap region, M. Annanepesov, reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

Information was also provided on the progress of construction of social and industrial facilities, which are planned to be commissioned this year in the region according to the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the rural population, villages, towns, and district centers until 2028.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that appropriate measures should be taken for the high-quality sowing of wheat, the harvesting of cotton as quickly as possible, and gave the head of the region corresponding instructions.
The head of state also ordered to monitor the quality and timely completion of construction work on various facilities planned for commissioning this year in the region within the framework of the country's socio-economic development programs.
Then the head of the Mary region, B. Orazov, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As noted, measures are currently being taken in the region to accelerate the pace of cotton harvesting without losses, the uninterrupted delivery of the harvested crop to reception points and cotton processing enterprises, as well as the effective use of cotton harvesters and vehicles.
In addition, wheat sowing continues in the region, and efforts are being made to conduct this important season with high quality. Agricultural machinery used in the fields is being used to its full capacity. Necessary agricultural work is being carried out on the sown areas in accordance with agricultural standards to obtain good seedlings.
Care is also being taken for potatoes and other agricultural crops. Inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers, and irrigation are being carried out in the fields sown with sugar beets.

After hearing the report, the head of state noted that the sowing of wheat within the agricultural deadlines is one of the main conditions for obtaining a rich harvest in the future, and gave specific instructions to the head of the region in this regard. In addition, appropriate work is being carried out to fulfill the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan to grow a rich harvest of vegetables and other agricultural crops. As part of these activities, care is being taken for winter food crops. In the Dashoguz and Lebap regions, care is being taken for rice fields, and in the Mary region, for sugar beets, inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers, and irrigation are being carried out.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the ongoing seasonal campaigns in agriculture and instructed the vice-premier to keep the work in this direction under high organizational control.
Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state noted that these days wheat sowing is in full swing, which is an important stage in the life of our grain growers. As experience shows, the timely and high-quality conduct of the sowing campaign in accordance with agricultural standards determines the receipt of a rich grain harvest and, in general, ensures food abundance in the country, and improves the well-being of the people, emphasized the President of Turkmenistan.
In this regard, the head of state ordered to constantly keep in mind the implementation of various measures for the care of crops, including the timely irrigation of wheat fields, as well as the effective use of agricultural machinery and units in this work.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov placed special emphasis on the fact that an important period has come in the life of our cotton growers. Therefore, all measures should be taken to increase the pace of the cotton harvesting campaign in the regions without losses and within the established time frame, to ensure the proper operation of combines, agricultural machinery, vehicles, and cotton processing enterprises, said the head of state, instructing to create the necessary conditions for productive work and rest for cotton growers.
At the same time, instructions were given to carry out the appropriate organizational work in the regions for planting winter potatoes, vegetables, and other crops, caring for these crops in accordance with agricultural requirements, and harvesting the grown crop without losses.
In addition, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered preparations for high-level events to mark the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence, as well as strict control over the construction of social and industrial facilities planned for opening in the regions this year.
At the end of the working meeting, the head of state wished the participants success in fulfilling the assigned tasks.
