Newly appointed Hungarian Ambassador accredited in Turkmenistan

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Turkmenistan, Jozsef Rozs, has been accredited in Ashgabat.

On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Ambassador's credentials were accepted by the Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova, TDH reports.

Having congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the responsible diplomatic post, the head of the national Parliament wished him fruitful work.

Jozsef Rozs conveyed warm words of greeting from the President of Hungary, Tamás Szujok, who addressed sincere wishes of happiness, peace and prosperity to the top leadership and people of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the diplomat was thoroughly acquainted with the constructive foreign policy pursued by independent neutral Turkmenistan, built on the principles of peacefulness and broad international cooperation in the common interests.

Attention was also focused on the priorities of the state policy pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, which has a clearly expressed social focus. The parties noted their mutual interest in further diversifying the partnership in a number of key areas, including trade and economics, healthcare, agriculture and others.

The importance of intensifying inter-parliamentary and cultural-humanitarian ties that serve mutual understanding and trust between the peoples of the two countries was particularly emphasized, the source notes.
