The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, appointed new hakims to the city of Balkanabat and the Gyzylarbat etrap of the Balkan Velayat.

According to the Decree of the head of state, Shohrat Annamyradov was dismissed from the post of hakim of the Gyzylarbat etrap of the Balkan Velayat as "unable to cope with the duties assigned to him."

Emin Ashyrov, who previously served as the mayor of Balkanabat, was appointed in his place. Ovezgeldi Goshjanov became the new hakim of Balkanabat.
