On August 27, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova received credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mauritius to our country, Mr. Heswar Janke.

The Head of the National Parliament, on behalf of the head of Turkmenistan, congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to a high diplomatic post, wishing him success in developing friendly relations.

In turn, thanking for the good wishes and the warm welcome extended to him on Turkmen soil, the diplomat conveyed warm words of greeting from the President of the Republic of Mauritius, who addressed the President of Turkmenistan with wishes for good health, as well as peace and prosperity to the people of the friendly country.

As the ambassador emphasized, it is a great honor for him to represent his country in Turkmenistan, which has earned high international authority thanks to its peace-loving course and positive initiatives.

During the conversation, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Mauritius was informed in detail about the main directions of the domestic and foreign policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan, as well as the activities of the Turkmen Parliament in the context of the large-scale reforms being carried out.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mauritius to our country, Mr. Heswar Janke, assured that he would make every effort to develop friendly relations and fruitful interstate dialogue.
