On August 10, during his labor vacation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who attaches great importance to strengthening a healthy lifestyle and is involved in various sports disciplines, visited the Center of Motor Sports of Turkmenistan, located in the northern part of the capital.
Hero-Arkadag, as usual, began his day with physical exercises.
As a supporter of a healthy lifestyle and attaching great importance to the development of mass physical education and sports, the National Leader of the Turkmen people sets an example for young people by systematically engaging in various sports, including motor sports.
Hero-Arkadag inquired about the conditions created for young athletes, as well as the types and main characteristics of motor vehicles. The Center has sports cars with the most modern equipment.
Hero-Arkadag, who has extensive experience in motor sports, went to the starting point.
Arkadag got into one of the cars and tested its technical capabilities. As the National Leader of the Turkmen people notes, before starting to drive a car, it is necessary to prepare thoroughly: inquire about the condition of the roads and the climatic features of the area, the level of technical maintenance of the car. All this is among the main requirements for athletes involved in motorsports.
Then the sports car driven by the National Leader of the Turkmen people moved off and immediately picked up speed, making a series of complex turns.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people demonstrated his mastery of driving a sports car using various drifting techniques, crossing the Center's tracks at the highest possible speed.
Hero Arkadag completed the race, once again demonstrating his driving skills and extensive experience in virtuoso car control.
Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people talked with the head of the Center for Motor Sports of Turkmenistan R. Begenjov, inquired about the current work of the Center and appreciated the enthusiasm of the youth involved in this sport.
R. Begenjov expressed gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for his attention to the development of motorsports and the activities of the Center, emphasizing the conditions created here for training and organizing competitions. He also reported that the number of young fans of motorsports is constantly increasing, competitions in various types of motorsports are systematically organized.
Noting that the Motorsports Center was built in a previously empty corner of the city, Hero-Arkadag expressed satisfaction with the created opportunities for the proper organization of its activities on a comprehensive basis. All this fully complies with high international standards. Arkadag also noted that the construction of specialized facilities on the territory of the Center contributed to the formation of a kind of town.
In continuation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that several buildings belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan are located here, residential buildings for the military and law enforcement officers have been built nearby, and a center designed for holding mass events is functioning. At the same time, urban development work continues.
In this regard, Hero-Arkadag emphasized the advisability of working out issues related to the transfer of the complex of buildings of the Motor Sports Center and a comprehensive study of possible places for its construction. Sports facilities and industrial complexes near residential buildings disturb the peace of citizens, and the increase in the number of enthusiastic youth should also be taken into account, Arkadag said and proposed to move the Center. This is evidence that caring for people in our country is of paramount importance.
The head of the Center, noting the historical significance of this decision of Hero-Arkadag, expressed gratitude to him on behalf of all his employees.
At the same time, along with training athletes at the Center, it is necessary to increase their vigilance when driving cars, develop the ability to ensure traffic coordination on the roads and strictly adhere to established traffic rules, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized and gave a number of instructions.
Addressing the head of the institution, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the main function of the Center and a task of national importance is the training of athletes, ensuring their participation in international competitions, as well as the development of the relevant infrastructure. Hero-Arkadag also said that after determining the location of the new complex, he will submit a proposal to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, addressing R. Begenjov, noted that his task is to train master athletes and increase the prestige of motor sports in the country, and the state will build and create all the conditions for this.
