The President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting with heads of regional administrations

On July 1, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atakhalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and hakimov velayats, at which the progress of seasonal field work in the country was reviewed.

The heads of regional administrations reported on the pace of agricultural campaigns and the state of affairs on the construction sites of social and industrial facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

Summing up the reports of the hakims, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atakhalliyev reported on the state of affairs in the country's fields within the framework of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As noted, the grain harvest continues at an intensive pace and without losses. Appropriate work is underway to ensure uninterrupted transportation of harvested grain to receiving points, timely settlement with farmers for the harvest handed over to the state and preparation of vacant fields for the next sowing season.

Row-to-row processing, weeding, thinning, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are carried out in the fields of the country sown with cotton.

Harvesting of potatoes and other crops continues on the agricultural areas of the velayats in order to ensure markets and public demand for these products, as well as preparing fields for the autumn sowing season.

In Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, measures are being taken to properly care for rice crops.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the agricultural sector has an important role to play in strengthening the national economy of the country and focused on the challenges facing this industry. The Head of State stressed the need to carry out the harvest at a high organizational level and comply with the norms of agricultural technology in the care of cotton, giving the Deputy Prime Minister a number of instructions.

Addressing the participants of the workshop, the Head of Turkmenistan once again noted the importance of seasonal agricultural work currently underway and instructed to keep their implementation under control at a high quality level.
