Yesterday, on June 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system, at which a number of issues of public life were considered.
Having announced the agenda, the head of Turkmenistan gave the floor to the Chairman of the Mejlis, D.Gulmanova, who informed about the ongoing activities to bring the country's legal framework into line with the realities of modernity. In particular, a new version of the Civil Code is being developed, amendments and additions are being made to the Budget, Sanitary Codes, the Code on Social Protection of the Population, laws on physical culture and sports, state scientific and technical policy, scientific institutions, the fight against doping in sports, seed production, etc.
In addition, it was reported that preparations were being made jointly with the Central Election Commission for the elections of deputies scheduled for July 7 this year to replace those who had left. As noted, work in this direction is carried out in accordance with the norms of international law and national electoral legislation.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H.Geldimyradov reported on the activities of subordinate structures to preserve the sustainable development of the national economy, maintain positive indicators in all sectors and improve the standard of living of the population.
Then Deputy Prime Minister B.Amanov reported on the activities carried out to provide the State Concern "Turkmennebit" with the necessary products.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev reported on the measures being implemented in the agro-industrial sector and the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country.
Then Deputy Prime Minister B.Annamammedov reported on the ongoing work on the modernization of the material and technical base of the electric power industry.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Atdayev reported on the measures taken to implement the agreements reached earlier at the highest level in accordance with the "Joint Action Plan for the further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023-2024 (Roadmap)".
Then the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the ongoing work to strengthen trade and economic ties and expand mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign countries.
Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M.Mammadova reported on the Procedure for the main events and the opening of social and cultural facilities in July this year.
Deputy Prime Minister N.Amannepesov reported on the preparation of the draft "Procedure for the development, implementation and financing of state scientific and technical programs". This document is aimed at improving the effectiveness of the implementation of scientific and technical policy on priority vectors of scientific, scientific, technical and innovative activities, strengthening the financial, material and human resources potential of the country, as well as solving other tasks.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the steps taken to enhance international cooperation of Turkmenistan in the field of climate change.
Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M.Chakiyev reported on the preparations for the contest of innovative projects "Digital Solution – 2024".
Then, addressing the participants of the meeting, the head of state stressed that in the modern era, large-scale reforms are being successfully implemented in our Homeland for the benefit of the people. June 29 – marks one year since the opening of the city of Arkadag, built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and a symbol of the power of a sovereign state. As noted, all conditions for living, working and cultural leisure have been created in this modern city.
Having signed the Decree "On the construction of buildings and structures" related to the second stage of the development of the city of Arkadag in order to further improve the welfare of happy citizens, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the Hero of Arkadag, the entire Turkmen people and members of the Government on the anniversary of the opening of the city of Arkadag.
