Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of the high-level group on the Caspian Sea

Turkmenistan participated in the eighth meeting of the High-level Working Group (HLGWG) on the Caspian Sea, which was held in Tehran from 24 to 26 June. This is reported by Oxu.Az with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by the Director of the Caspian Sea Institute, Myrat Atajanov. The delegation of Azerbaijan participated under the leadership of Samir Sharifov, Iran - Eshaq Jahangiri, Kazakhstan - Zulfiya Amanzholova, Russia - Mikhail Petrakov.

During the meeting, the parties continued to discuss the methodology for building direct access lines to the Caspian Sea. A review of cooperation in the Caspian Sea was also conducted.

The delegations expressed gratitude to the Iranian side for organizing the high-level meeting. The next meeting of the HLGWG will be held in Kazakhstan. The dates will be agreed through diplomatic channels, the source said.
