President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the head of Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. Baek Jung-wan, TDH reports.

The guest conveyed greetings from the President of the Republic of Korea, Yun Seok-yeon, to the head of state and expressed his joy at the meeting held on the eve of the anniversary of the opening of the Arkadag Smart City.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked for the visit and conveyed his wishes to the Korean leadership, expressing hope for strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including the gas and chemical industries, transport, high technologies and investments. Special attention was paid to the participation of Korean companies in the construction of the city of Arkadag and the Ashgabat City project.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated the contribution of Korean companies to the development of economic cooperation between the countries, especially in the gas and chemical industries.

The Head of State expressed readiness to consider proposals for the development of the chemical industry, in particular, the production of fertilizers.

Baek Jung-Wan noted that cooperation with Turkmenistan is an honor for his company, given the country's reputation as a reliable business partner.
