Today, the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as poetry of Magtumguly Pragy, is widely celebrated in Turkmenistan.

On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a heartfelt congratulations to compatriots and figures of culture and art of the country.

"Culture and art are the spiritual heritage of the people. The development of the cultural system ensures the unity of society and the spiritual revival of the nation," the Message says.

Currently, various festivals, concerts, exhibitions, creative meetings, and other cultural events are regularly organized in order to promote the achievements of Turkmen culture and art in the world, increase the professionalism of creative workers, and inspire citizens to fruitful activities in the name of the people and the country.

The Cultural Days successfully held in Turkmenistan and abroad contribute to the development of friendly and fraternal relations between peoples. Of particular importance is the Week of Culture, which has become a good tradition and is held on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

"Today we live in a wonderful time, which Magtumguly Pragy dreamed of, we are proud of the high authority and glory of our country in the world," the President noted.

The Head of State cites as an example the lines from Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's poem "The Storehouse of the Mind of Magtumguly Pragy":

The poet's path is initially both mysterious and simple,
He solemnly assumes his permanent post.
I stood up at the foot of Kopetdag today
His Highness Magtumguly Pragy.

«...Today, Magtumguly Pragy, standing at a height at the foot of Kopetdag, looks with pride at our sovereign state, at a happy people. Pride and great faith in the independence of the Turkmen state were embodied in the bright appearance of the poet-thinker," the President concluded, wishing the people of Turkmenistan good health, family well-being, great success in creative activities, TDH reports.
