Speaking about this, Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence that the meetings and negotiations with Turkmen colleagues planned within the framework of the guest's current visit will serve to build up productive bilateral ties and enrich them with new content.
As the National Leader of the Turkmen people stressed, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is an important partner of Turkmenistan in the South Asian region. Turkmen-Pakistani relations are characterized by a high level of mutual understanding and trust. This, in turn, serves as a solid foundation for effective cooperation, including on a multilateral basis, in the format of reputable international organizations, where our countries provide mutual support for each other's constructive initiatives.
During the meeting, Hero-Arkadag and his guest exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral partnership, one of the key areas of which is the trade and economic sphere. Special attention was paid to the implementation of large–scale joint energy and communication projects in the region, in particular, the construction of the transnational Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline. Along with this, projects on laying power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication along the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan (TAP) route are of great importance.
In this context, confidence was expressed that the successful implementation of these major infrastructure projects will stimulate sustained socio-economic growth in the region, as well as contribute to its peaceful and sustainable development. At the same time, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan, for its part, is ready to assist in the promotion of specific proposals aimed at building mutually beneficial interstate partnership.
