The events of the past week have become another clear evidence of the success of the scientifically based transformative strategy conducted under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to improve the industrial, resource, labor and intellectual potential of the Motherland, and to intensify constructive dialogue with all interested countries.
On June 10, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system, which reviewed the progress of seasonal field work in the country.
The main emphasis was placed on the importance of harvesting grain grown by hardworking farmers on time and without losses, and caring for cotton in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology.
On June 10, as part of the two-day state visit of the Head of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan, high-level talks were held between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Yun Seok-el.
A wide range of issues of interstate cooperation were discussed, its priorities were specified taking into account the realities of modernity and with a view to the long-term perspective.
Confirming the commitment of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea to further develop full-scale cooperation, the interlocutors identified the trade and economic sphere, transport, energy, high technology, etc. among the key areas.
During the talks, an exchange of views took place on a number of topical issues of regional and international policy of mutual interest.
The emphasis was placed on the fact that inter-parliamentary relations are an important component of the interstate dialogue. Thus, the second Meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of the Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea will be held in Ashgabat this year.
Korean companies have expressed interest in participating in the implementation of the Aşgabat–siti megaproject, which provides for the construction of modern residential buildings, the creation of road transport infrastructure, environmental zones, recreation centers, etc.
One of the most promising vectors of bilateral partnership was called the solution of issues in the field of climate change and environmental protection.
The presence of a great potential for interaction was noted in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence, telecommunications and space.
The cultural and humanitarian field, science, education, healthcare, sports and tourism are also identified among the important areas of partnership.
In addition, they confirmed their readiness to support the development of relations between Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea within the framework of the Korea–Silk Road Cooperation Initiative, K-Silk Road, which is the first such strategy in Central Asia.
Following the talks, a large package of bilateral documents was signed aimed at deepening mutually beneficial ties and enriching them with new content.
The possibilities for building up effective Turkmen-Korean cooperation, giving it a new concrete content, taking into account modern realities, were considered during the meeting
On June 11, the meeting of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with President of the Republic of Korea Yun Seok-el.
Issues of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere were discussed at a meeting held in the format of a workshop with the participation of members of the delegations of both countries.
On the same day, a Turkmen-Korean business Forum was held in Ashgabat with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Korea Yun Seok-yong.
In his speech, the Arkadag Hero noted that today there are 14 investment projects in Turkmenistan with the participation of Korean companies, the amount of which exceeds 11 billion US dollars. These include projects related to the construction and modernization of oil and gas industry facilities, the purchase of vehicles, and the construction of cargo ships.
The forum participants discussed in detail the possibilities of developing trade, economic and investment cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea.
Promising areas of partnership are identified in oil and gas chemistry, energy, transport and communication complex and logistics, shipbuilding, industry, construction and infrastructure, agriculture, as well as the introduction of advanced environmentally friendly technologies, etc. There is also great potential for a significant increase in the volume of mutual trade.
The aspects of Turkmen-Korean cooperation in specific sectors were discussed in more detail during meetings of representatives of relevant structures of the two countries organized at the end of the business forum.
On June 14, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system, which included a number of issues of public life on the agenda.
Information was provided on further improvement of the country's legal framework, in particular, the adoption of the Law of Turkmenistan "On the Cultural Heritage of Magtumguly Pragy", the development of a new version of the Civil Code, amendments and additions to a number of laws, including the Budget Code.
Among the issues discussed are supervision of compliance of measuring instruments used in industry departments with the metrological requirements of international standards, implementation of the Action Plan for the performance of work at the production facilities of the State Concern Türkmengaz, measures taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to the production of the State Concern Türkmenhimiýa, introduction and modernization of digital technologies in the country, further development of the agro–industrial sector.
In addition, it was reported about the preparation of the pavilion of Turkmenistan at the International Exhibition "China–Eurasia EXPO", which will be held in Urumqi (PRC), as well as about the organization of the II theater Festival of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) in October this year in Ashgabat.
A proposal was submitted to the President of the country to transfer gold and silver coins, as well as over sixty fragments of them and colorful objects found on the territory of the Dashoguz Velayat to the Museum of History and Local Lore of the city of Arkadag. The finds date back to the XII–XIII centuries and date back to the heyday of a powerful state founded by the Koneurgench Turkmen at an important crossroads of the Great Silk Road.
The Head of state was also presented with a draft Procedure for the organization and implementation of state accounting of scientific programs, plans and reports on scientific activities.
Turkmenistan, having set a course for the widespread introduction of modern technologies and innovations in all sectors of the economy, assigns an important role to interaction with specialized international and regional organizations, including the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO).
In this context, a number of relevant proposals were presented during the Government meeting, including on Turkmenistan's accession to the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs to the Eurasian Patent Convention, which is a key document of the EAPO.
Proposals were also made to hold a regional forum on the legal protection of industrial designs in Ashgabat in October this year, and a regular meeting of the Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization in 2025.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, congratulating everyone on the holy Eid al–Adha, which will be celebrated in our country for three days, in particular on June 16-17-18, signed a decree providing for the postponement of the weekend on June 16 to Wednesday - June 19.
The Head of State also signed a Decree "On the purchase of urea-formaldehyde concentrate necessary for the urea production plants of the State Concern "Turkmenhimiya".
As it was reported at the Government meeting, on June 14, farmers of the Dashoguz and Balkan velayats began to harvest wheat, where, taking into account climatic conditions, Kosovitsa starts later. It is planned to harvest 265 thousand tons of grain from the grain fields of the northern region of the country, and 80 thousand tons from the western region.
On June 15, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Balkan Velayat, where he got acquainted with the implementation of the state program for the socio-economic development of the regions and the pace of grain harvesting.
The helicopter of the President of the country landed near the wheat field of the Dayhan association "Arkaç" in the Gyzylarvat etrap.
At the request of the tenants, the head of state blessed the harvest by cutting a small sheaf of wheat ears grown by hardworking dayhans.
In a conversation with young tenants, the President of the country asked about working conditions, the types of crops they grow, and the productivity of grain fields.
As noted, this year the state purchase prices for wheat and cotton have been increased, which will significantly affect the growth of the welfare of Dayhans, who, through their noble work, contribute to strengthening food abundance in the country

Promising areas of cooperation were discussed with representatives of our country's long-standing foreign partners, taking into account the existing experience of joint work and economic development programs implemented in Turkmenistan, major projects in the industrial sector, as well as favorable business conditions.
On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Mejlis received credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Turkmenistan, John William Gearing.
During the exchange of views on the priorities of the bilateral partnership, it was noted that there is a great potential for increasing trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
International conferences with the participation of Russian scientists and their foreign colleagues, university professors, and students were timed to coincide with the significant date of the national calendar – Science Day, widely celebrated on June 12.
The International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan have become platforms for discussing current trends in scientific and technological progress, in-demand areas of research, and prospects for cooperation, in particular, in the field of high technology development and their application in various sectors of the economy.
As part of the celebrations, award ceremonies were held for the winners of the scientific works competition among young scientists of the country, as well as the scientific and creative competition "Young Innovators", which was attended by schoolchildren.
Last week, Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D.Gulmanova met with Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev in Ashgabat.
The prospects for bilateral interparliamentary cooperation and the expansion of the exchange of experience in the legislative sphere were the subject of an interested discussion. Organizational issues of holding the next Interparliamentary Forum of the countries of Central Asia and the Russian Federation, designed to strengthen the multilateral mutually beneficial partnership, were also considered.

Among the socio-political events is the completion of the next stage of the election campaign – the registration of candidates for deputies of the Mejlis instead of those who left. In total, 9 candidates were nominated – 3 in each electoral district of Ashgabat – No. 1 "Garaşsyzlyk", No. 2 "Bitaraplyk" and No. 6 "Köpetdag". Currently, candidates are meeting with the electorate in the electoral districts.
76 national observers appointed by political parties, public organizations and citizen groups have been registered and received certificates. They will monitor the electoral process within their authority.
In Ashgabat, on the square in front of the Monument to the Constitution, as well as on the National Flag Square in the Awaza National Tourist Zone of Turkmenbashi, ceremonies were held honoring graduates of the Military Academy, cadets of universities of law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan and the Faculty of Military Medicine of the Myrat Garriyev State Medical University.
The young officers took an oath as a sign of loyalty to the military oath, selfless devotion to the Motherland, the people and the President of the country, and their willingness to honorably continue the glorious military traditions of their ancestors.
In general, the events of the past week reflected the priority goals set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state – strategic partnership in the name of universal peace, security and progress, increasing the economic potential of the Motherland, enriching the spiritual values of the nation, and increasing the welfare of the Turkmen people.
