Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took part in the forum “Water reserves and demographic stability for the benefit of youth”, organized on June 10 in Dushanbe by the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development jointly with the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan. At the forum, Turkmen delegates made a report.
The forum was organized by the United Nations Population Fund and the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD 30) within the framework of the Third High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018–2028”, reports the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tajikistan.
The main topics of discussion at the forum were demographic changes, development, education and youth employment in the Asia-Pacific region, including Central Asia.
A representative of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan also took part in the International Forum “Women and Water” as within the framework took part and made speeches at other meetings and plenary sessions within the framework of the international conference.
