On June 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system, at which the results of the work of sectors of the national economy for five months of this year were reviewed. Mammethan Chakyev, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, reported on the results of the activities of subordinate institutions for the five months of 2024. During the reporting period, the growth rate for the performance of works and services in this complex is 117.5 percent.

In five months, this indicator in the field of cargo transportation by road, rail, air, sea and river transport amounted to 105.9 percent, and in passenger transportation – 102.9 percent.

The growth rate for the provision of services in January–May for the agency "Turkmendemirellary" is 104.8 percent, the agency "Turkmenautaulaglary" – 111.4 percent, the agency "Turkmenhovaellary" – 153 percent, the agency "Turkmendenizderyaellary" – 115.8 percent, the agency "Turkmenaragatnashyk" – 112.2 percent.
