The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree ordering the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Association "Turkmengallaönümleri", the hakimliks of the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats to ensure the production of high-yield rice in the corresponding districts of these velayats. This is reported by the news program "Watan".

Also, in accordance with the document, starting from the harvest of 2024, the state purchase price for rice has been increased.

The decree was signed in order to further reform the country's agricultural sector in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, strengthen food security by increasing the volume of agricultural products produced, as well as to stimulate production of high yields of rice.
