Ashgabat has become the venue for the International Scientific Conference "The Storehouse of the Mind of Magtumguly Pragy", dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker. The forum, organized by the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, brought together scientists and experts from more than 30 countries of the world, TDH reports.
Opening the conference, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the great importance of Magtumguly's creative heritage for the development of Turkmen and world literature. His works, imbued with humanistic ideas, glorify love, wisdom and human dignity, serving as a guiding star for all mankind.
The foreign delegates, including representatives of UNESCO and TURKSOY, highly appreciated Turkmenistan's efforts to popularize the classical heritage. They expressed gratitude for the invitation and the high level of organization of the event, which strengthens humanitarian ties and dialogue between peoples.
Within the framework of the forum, scientists discussed the literary and philosophical heritage of Magtumguly, studied the interrelationships of languages and literatures of the East. The participants emphasized the special value of the great poet's handwritten works as objects of further scientific research.
