Dear compatriots! Dear war veterans!

I sincerely congratulate you on the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945!

The years 1941-1945 were the most ruthless and at the same time the most mournful period in world history, when an aggressive and predatory war claimed the lives of millions of people and led to irreparable losses, leaving unhealed wounds. From the very beginning of that merciless war, which lasted for 1,418 days, our compatriots voluntarily went to the front, where they fought side by side with fraternal peoples on the fields of fierce battle, showing unparalleled bravery and courage. For this, they were awarded many orders and medals. The names of our soldiers who laid down their heads in a bloody war, and those who returned home with Victory, are listed in the multi-volume editions of "Hatyra" and "Şöhrat".

Our compatriots worked tirelessly day and night, and in those dashing years they gathered large harvests of grain and cotton. They were driven by unshakeable faith and hope in Victory. The war scorched and mutilated hearts, but our women and girls, following the primordial principles, without the slightest hesitation transferred 7,392 kilograms of gold and silver jewelry to the Defense Fund. At the same time, they woven a huge carpet "The Soul of Turkmens", which became a manifestation of the desire of the Turkmen people to live in peace and prosperity. The memories of the military valor of our brave ancestors, the labor achievements of our compatriots are forever inscribed in golden letters in the annals of the Fatherland.

We are immensely proud of our heroes, brave ancestors who fought for peace on Earth, a serene sky and a happy life for their descendants, as well as compatriots whose selfless work was approaching a Great Victory. Eternal glory to them!

Dear Turkmenians!

In the era of the Rebirth of a new era of a powerful state, we highly honor the representatives of the older generation, whose valor and amazing school of life serve as an example to everyone. They, selflessly showing military and labor heroism in the name of human freedom, brought a glorious Victory closer. In the year "The Storehouse of the Mind of Makhtumkuli Fraga", marked by a series of events, both here and abroad, we also perpetuate the bright memory of the heroes by laying bouquets of fresh flowers in the capital's memorial complex "Halk hakydasy" and in other memorials of military glory and national memory. At the same time, on the occasion of Victory Day, themed musical, song and cultural events are held throughout the country, and festive gifts are solemnly presented to war veterans. Thus, we show boundless gratitude and respect to our heroes who gave their lives in the name of freedom on the fields of the 1941-1945 war, as well as to compatriots who overcame severe hardships with dignity and became an example of selfless service to the Motherland, the people and humanity.

Dear Turkmen citizens!

Today, peace and prosperity reign in our sovereign Homeland, and the national economy is developing at an accelerated pace. We are guided by the main principle "The motherland is the motherland only with the people! The state is a state only with the people!", we successfully carry out tasks in the name of a happy and abundant human life – the highest value of the state, that is, every citizen of Turkmenistan. We are constantly interested in the health and everyday life of war veterans, venerable elders and gray-haired grandmothers and mothers, providing them with various social benefits. With their guidance and wisdom, they make a tremendous contribution to strengthening the unity of society, educating young people in the spirit of patriotism and humanism. The older generation urges us to love and be devoted to our native land, to follow the principles of the national mentality laid down by our ancestors – friendship, goodwill and humanism.

Our policy of maintaining peace, universal security and stability has earned independent, neutral Turkmenistan a high reputation in the international arena. Advocating for the expansion of the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between states, comprehensive promotion of sustainable development, we actively participate in the development of optimal solutions to global problems. At the 63rd plenary session of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Resolution "2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust" initiated by Turkmenistan was unanimously adopted. This was a welcome event, a celebration of our primordial principles of peacefulness, friendship and trust on the planet and increased the authority of the Turkmen state in the world as a peacekeeping center.
