On April 26, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the city of Arkadag, where he visited a modern stables designed for keeping Akhal-Teke horses. Here, the Hero of Arkadag talked with a member of the International Association of Akhalteke Horse Breeding, director of the horse breeding firm “Jeýkob Ferdezuçt GBR” Katarina Irene Anna Margareta Jakob (Federal Republic of Germany). On the same day, the National Leader of the Turkmen people met with athletes of “Arkadag” soccer club.

During the conversation with Katarina Irene Anna Margareta Jakob, the National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked the guest for active participation in the festive events and noted that Akhalteke horses are the fruit of painstaking labor of our wise ancestors, their unsurpassed art passed on from generation to generation. Turkmenistan has created all conditions for breeding “heavenly” horses and preserving their thoroughbredity. Local natural peculiarities and favorable climate are important factors.

Director of the horse breeding firm “Jeýkob Ferdezuçt GBR” expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty and the President of Turkmenistan for the hospitality shown on the Turkmen land and for the high level of organization of festive events, including international forums. As Katharina Irene Anna Margareta Jakob emphasized, it is a great honor for specialists who have chosen horse breeding as their life's work to take part in the celebrations held in the homeland of Akhal-Teke horses.

The guest noted that she has been interested in horse breeding for a long time and Akhalteke horses are very close to her. As Katharina Irena Anna Margareta Jakob said, she is happy that she has the opportunity to be in the homeland of “winged” horses and see purebred Akhalteke horses with her own eyes.

In the course of the conversation, the dynamic nature of the Turkmen-German cooperation, which is developing along the ascending line and includes a wide range of directions, was also emphasized. At the same time, great importance is attached to cooperation in the sphere of horse breeding. In this context, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov mentioned that during his visit to the Federal Republic of Germany in April last year, he visited the Horse Breeding Complex and familiarized himself with the peculiarities of horses raised there.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that the establishment of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding with the headquarters in Ashgabat allowed to expand effective cooperation in this field. Admission of representatives of different countries to the Association contributes to the activation of international partnership in this field.

Chairman of Khalk Maslakhaty also emphasized the contribution to increasing the world glory of Akhalteke horses of Katarina Irena Anna Margareta Jakob. The awards of Turkmenistan presented to her are the evidence of high appreciation of her labor.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Director of the horse breeding company “Jeýkob Ferdezuçt GBR” emphasized that she considered it a matter of honor and life credo to make a worthy contribution to the large-scale activities aimed at further increasing the glory of Akhalteke horses, which are the elite of the world horse breeding.

Then, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived at the stadium of the Multipurpose Sports Complex of Arkadag city. Soccer players of FC “Arkadag” hold their trainings here. The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan observed the training process of the athletes who are making efforts to improve their skills and raise the prestige of Turkmen sports.

Asked about the mood of the players, material support of the team, Hero Arkadag emphasized that the state will continue to make every effort to develop domestic sports, including soccer, and bring it to the world level. It was also noted that the victory of FC “Arkadag” in the championship of Turkmenistan has become a significant event in the sports life of the country.
