On September 23, a regular session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan began at the «Maslahat köşgi» Palace in Ashgabat, chaired by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The agenda of the session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, held on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the country's sacred independence, includes important issues aimed at ensuring a prosperous and flourishing life for our people, as well as the further socio-economic development of the country.

The session of the supreme representative body of Turkmenistan was attended by deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of ministries and departmental bodies, political parties and public organizations, mass media, governors of the regions, districts and cities, members of the Halk Maslahaty of regions, districts and cities, as well as honorary elders, respected mothers, representatives of the country's people and youth.

Addressing the participants, the Hero-Arkadag emphasized that, following the noble tradition, the session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan is held during the days of celebration of the 35th anniversary of our sovereign, permanently neutral Motherland's sacred independence.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that great achievements have been made during the years of independence, that Turkmenistan has become one of the most prestigious and powerful states in the world, that over the past historical period our country has achieved high results in the political, diplomatic, socio-economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, and that our Fatherland is confidently continuing its rapid development in the Epoch of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed firm confidence that Independence Day will further strengthen our national pride in our beloved Motherland and give us strength to achieve new successes and great heights.
