I am firmly convinced that the upcoming competition, which is an important event in the sporting life of the Motherland, will contribute to strengthening international cooperation in this field, consolidating peace and friendship on the planet, popularizing and implementing the principles of the Olympic movement, improving the skills and experience of hockey players.

Along with the expansion of the mass sports and recreation movement in independent neutral Turkmenistan, we pay special attention to the development of high-performance sports through the training of professional athletes, coaches and specialized specialists, as well as the intensification of international cooperation.

Continuing the noble traditions of our ancestors, who from ancient times revered sport as a symbol of peace and friendship, we consider it an important area of partnership with the countries of the world, a global factor in strengthening friendly ties between peoples.

In the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state in all velayats, multi-purpose stadiums, sports and recreation complexes, racetracks, sports schools and other facilities are regularly put into operation in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.

The program "Revival of a new era of a powerful state: The National Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052", as well as the "Program for the support and development of physical education and sports in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025", which set new tasks for us, provide for the multiplication of the glory of Turkmen sports, further transformation of the country into a modern center for international competitions and Olympic Games.

In this regard, independent neutral Turkmenistan, which is a member of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, is implementing modern reforms for the programmatic development of the sports sector. As a result, all conditions and opportunities are being created in our Homeland to organize major sports tournaments at a high level, including the Asian Games, continental championships and world Championships.

As you know, a number of world-class competitions were held on the basis of the Olympic Campus in Ashgabat, built in accordance with international standards, which has become the most modern complex of sports facilities in the region, in mutually beneficial cooperation with international specialized organizations. Among them, we should be proud to note the successful holding of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, the World Championships in weightlifting, kurash and other regional international sports competitions.

We pay great attention to the development of winter sports in the country, in particular hockey, and create favorable conditions and opportunities in this direction.

Currently, our Homeland has a modern complex of sports facilities for winter sports, the national hockey championship is regularly held, and hockey teams successfully compete in international competitions. I am sure that the current international tournament will also give a new impetus to the development of hockey in our country.
