In the 2025 academic year, higher education institutions in Turkmenistan offered training in 297 specialist degree programs, 176 bachelor's degree programs, and 24 master's degree programs.
According to the Turkmenistan newspaper, in 2024, approximately 10,000 students completed specialist programs, over 4,900 graduated with bachelor's degrees, and around 550 completed master's programs.
In 2025, several universities in Turkmenistan launched new bachelor’s degree programs for the first time, including Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, and the Turkmen Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications.
Master's degree programs were introduced at S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the Turkmen State Institute of Culture.
