Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulates Macron on Bastille Day

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of Bastille Day, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

"Recently, the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the French Republic has received a new impetus. We advocate for the further expansion of effective interstate cooperation," the head of state's message says.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished Macron good health and happiness, and the people of France peace, well-being and further prosperity.

Bastille Day is the main national holiday of France. It is associated with the events of July 14, 1789, when the rebellious Parisians stormed the Bastille fortress-prison, which marked the beginning of the Great French Revolution. Traditionally, on this day, a military parade is held in Paris with the participation of the country's president.
