Turkmenistan participated in the first regional foresight seminar "Central Asia 2050: Paving the way for Shared Prosperity and Stability", which is being held in Tashkent from May 27 to 28.

The forum was attended by representatives of government agencies, research and analytical centers, as well as independent experts from all countries of the region, including Turkmenistan.

The forum discussed issues related to the region for the period up to 2050, such as demography, energy, climate, water, transport integration, and human capital. Special attention was paid to industrial cooperation and the economic interdependence of the countries of the region.

An open essay contest on the future of Central Asia was also announced as part of the seminar. Young people living in the countries of the region are invited to participate in the competition. The ideas and initiatives developed at the first regional foresight forum "Central Asia 2050: Paving the Way for Shared Prosperity and Stability" will contribute to shaping the agenda of the upcoming consultative meeting of the heads of state.
