Dear war veterans!

I sincerely congratulate you on the significant date – the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945! I am convinced that this holiday, which celebrates peace and friendship and embodies a great love for a free and prosperous life, will leave unforgettable impressions in the hearts of people who work tirelessly and hard, live a happy life, and are proud of their beloved Homeland, which is constantly developing and flourishing in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state.

According to tradition, today we lay wreaths at the monuments erected in honor of the brave soldiers who gave their lives for the sake of peace and prosperity throughout the world. We remember with great respect the heroes who set a noble example of courage and fearlessness during the fiery years of the war, and our compatriots, home front workers, who made a huge contribution to achieving a glorious Victory. In honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 war, we present gifts to veterans. The festive events have become a celebration of the centuries-old humane principles of our people, further strengthening the unity and cohesion of society.

Dear compatriots!

The years 1941-1945 have gone down in history as the most ruthless period in human history. This war, which lasted 1,418 days, led to irreparable losses and left unhealed wounds in the hearts of people. The soldiers showed unforgettable heroism and courage in the name of peace and friendship of peoples. In the early days of the war, thousands of young Turkmen men volunteered for the front, showing a high standard of patriotism and bravery in fierce battles. For their unwavering courage and heroism, hundreds of our compatriots were awarded the high title of Hero, and thousands of our soldiers were awarded orders and medals. During this difficult time, all residents of Turkmenistan, women, the elderly and children, following the national slogan "Everything for the front, everything for Victory!", worked hard day and night with unshakeable hope for a bright future, peace and humanity. An abundant harvest of wheat and cotton was harvested, which made a significant contribution to achieving the Great Victory. Turkmen women, following the primordial principles of the value of human life, set a high example of patriotism and humanism by donating their valuable jewelry and warm clothes to the Defense Fund, and also woven a huge carpet called "The Soul of Turkmens."

We will never forget the hardships and sufferings of the difficult war years, the damage they caused, and the heroism of the people shown in striving for a peaceful life will be written in golden letters in our glorious history. Vivid evidence of this is the perpetuation of the bright memory of the heroes, the glorification of their courage in works of literature, song and music, films and theatrical productions, the publication of the books "Hatyra" and "Şöhrat". We pay tribute to the memory and deepest respect to our valiant defenders who set a high example of courage and bravery. The heroic life of our fearless fathers is an exemplary school of patriotism.

In the era of the Rebirth of a new era of a powerful state, war and labor veterans make a great contribution to the development of their native homeland, educating young people in the spirit of patriotism and courage, and strengthening the unity and cohesion of the people.

In Turkmenistan, which is becoming one of the most prosperous countries in the world, we have great respect for veterans who set an unconditional example of love and loyalty to the Fatherland in 1941-1945, for mothers who survived the harsh days of the war, and for all those who courageously fought for a great cause. The older generation is our pride, brings up in us love for the Motherland, respect for human dignity, parents, and serves as an example to follow.

The policy aimed at strengthening universal peace and security, creating conditions for sustainable development and expanding effective cooperation ensures the high international prestige of our independent, permanently neutral Motherland. Our policy of neutrality is a policy of peace and friendship. The declaration by the world community of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" has become a symbol of recognition of the legal status, desire for peace, friendship and goodwill of our independent Homeland.
