Preparations for the celebration of the National Spring Holiday, the International Navruz Day, are in full swing in Turkmenistan. According to the TDH news agency, at a government meeting on March 14, Deputy Prime Minister B. Seyidova reported on plans for the celebrations.

The main celebrations will be held in the town of Nowruz on the territory of the Ak Bugday etrap of the Akhal Velayat, where large-scale cultural events dedicated to the traditions of Nowruz and the achievements of Turkmenistan are planned.

As part of the celebration, it is also planned to organize various exhibitions, performances and song and music performances demonstrating the customs of the Turkmen people related to agriculture, animal husbandry, gardening and crafts.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of holding the holiday at a high level and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to organize cultural events on the occasion of Novruz in the squares in front of the buildings of Turkmenin ak öyi in all the velayats of the country.
