President Serdar Berdimuhamedow participated in the grand opening of the "Bäherden" ceramics manufacturing plant in the Baherden district of Ahal province, TDH reports. The modern facility is designed to produce 3.3 million square meters of decorative ceramic tiles and 120,000 units of sanitary ware annually.

The construction of the new plant was commissioned by the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan and carried out by the private enterprise "Eziz doganlar," a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The plant is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery from the Italian company SACMI, with fully automated production processes.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, the President highlighted that this new facility is an important step in implementing the "Revival of the New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan (2022–2052)." He emphasized the importance of developing the industrial and construction sectors to supply the domestic market with high-quality building materials made from local raw materials.

Spanning an area of 30 hectares, the plant provides all necessary working and living conditions for approximately 460 employees. Michele Pulpito, a representative of the Italian company SACMI Imola Societa Cooperativa, noted that this facility is the first of its kind in Turkmenistan and one of the largest and most advanced ceramics manufacturing plants in the world.

During the ceremony, the Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan was presented with certificates confirming the plant’s compliance with international standards in quality, environmental protection, health, and safety.
