European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Josef Síkela, will visit five Central Asian countries from March 12 to 18, according to the EU Delegation in Turkmenistan.
The tour will begin in Turkmenistan and continue in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, concluding in Uzbekistan. The trip aims to strengthen EU-Central Asia relations ahead of the upcoming EU-Central Asia Summit, scheduled for April 3-4 in Uzbekistan.
A key focus of the visit is the expansion of the Global Gateway initiative—the EU’s investment strategy designed to promote sustainable economic growth and job creation in the region.
