International Humanitarian Conference to Be Held in Arkadag on March 29

On March 29, 2025, the city of Arkadag will host the international conference "Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Humanitarian Activities." The event is organized by the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This was announced by Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, during a briefing on upcoming international events within the framework of the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

According to Rashid Meredov, government and public institutions from foreign countries, representatives of international organizations, and their offices engaged in humanitarian and social activities have been invited to participate in the conference. The key topics of the forum will include healthcare, medical assistance, educational services for children and adolescents, as well as climate change issues.

In addition to this, other major international events are planned in Turkmenistan in March. On March 19, Ashgabat will host the conference "International Year of Peace and Trust: The Role of Interregional Economic Cooperation in Ensuring Sustainable Development," featuring representatives of government bodies, international organizations, and financial institutions, as well as business leaders.

The Turkmen foreign minister also announced the "Central Asia – European Union" ministerial meeting in Ashgabat, which will take place ahead of the first "Central Asia – EU" summit.

Representatives of international organizations and diplomatic missions attending the briefing highlighted Turkmenistan’s significant role in promoting peace, stability, and economic integration in the region.
