Turkmenistan can host the world's largest rally-raid competition "Silk Road" on its territory.
This issue was discussed during a meeting with the project delegation in Ashgabat.
Allaberdi Saparov, Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, discussed with Sergey Tukmanov, Director of Project Development, and Viktor Sokolov, First Deputy Head of the project, key issues and aspects of organizing an international rally in the country. In particular, the development of the route, ensuring the safety of participants, medical care and communication during the races.
The competition is scheduled for the period from 9 to 15 September this year.
The Silk Road International Rally project traces its history back to 2009. It unites not only the regions of Russia, but also the countries of Eurasia. The race took place on the territory of such countries as Russia, Turkmenistan, China, Kazakhstan, Mongolia.
Gazprom PJSC and the Chinese Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation are the general partners of the project.
Earlier, Turkmenistan successfully held the international rally "Amul-Khazar 2018".
