Welcoming the head of state, the guest expressed sincere gratitude for the time devoted to the meeting and the opportunity to take part in the events on the occasion of the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. At the same time, Turkmenistan's significant contribution to building up interstate cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, which is an integral part of world politics and diplomacy, was noted. In this regard, it was emphasized that the Organization attaches particular importance to strengthening productive cooperation with our country, which has observer status in the OTG.
Thanking for the kind words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that he was glad to welcome the head of the Organization to the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land, who took part in the events held on the eve of the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. In this context, the Head of state expressed his firm conviction that such actions are designed not only to promote the national traditions of the Turkmen people, but also will be an important step in expanding cultural exchanges between Turkic peoples connected by common historical roots.
В продолжение встречи глава государства и его гость с удовлетворением констатировали, что уходящие корнями в глубь веков культурные и духовные традиции служат прочной основой для углубления установившихся плодотворных связей между тюркоязычными странами.
The further development of effective and constructive relations with the Turkic states occupies an important place in Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed. In this regard, the emphasis was placed on the fact that since our country joined the Organization of Turkic States as an observer country, the dialogue in the format of this structure has been filled with new content.
One of the clearest examples of this is the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the OTG, which was successfully held on March 11-12 in Ashgabat, at which agreements were reached and proposals were voiced designed to serve as a guideline for further development of cooperation within the Organization. It was also noted that the admission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan to the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic Countries in the future will make it possible to effectively use this platform for the development of economic partnership between the member states of the OTG.
During the meeting, the Head of state and his guest noted with satisfaction the dynamic nature of the traditional dialogue with the International Organization of Turkic Culture – TURKSA, aimed at preserving, studying and popularizing in the world the richest cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples – an integral part of the universal cultural treasury.
One of the topics of discussion was the celebration in our country of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraga, whose works are the property of the entire Turkic world. As noted, in this regard, numerous events are planned aimed at studying and disseminating the literary heritage of the great Turkmen poet. Turkmenistan welcomes the active participation of OTG in these actions, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said, and confirmed his readiness to consider constructive proposals to bring joint cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
As part of the interested exchange of views on the prospects for cooperation in the OTG space, taking into account its solid potential, it was noted that expanding the range of programs and projects in various fields, primarily in education, science and culture, will serve to successfully promote mutually beneficial interstate partnership, filling it with specific content.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev expressed confidence that productive cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Organization of Turkic States will continue to develop dynamically for the common good, contributing to strengthening trusting dialogue, bonds of friendship and brotherhood between countries and peoples.
