More than 30 leaders and representatives from the Turkmen side and about 100 from the Japanese side took part in it.
At the beginning of the forum, the head of the Japan Foreign Trade Organization Norihiko Ishiguro, the State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Mr. Ryosukr Kozuke and the executive director of the Turkmen-Japanese joint Turkmen-Japanese organization Masumi Hara spoke. The Committee on Economic Cooperation spoke. In their speech, they gave a good assessment of trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Japan. They noted that Japanese companies are showing great interest in the constantly growing Turkmen market.
In their speeches, the Turkmen side emphasized Turkmenistan’s readiness for full cooperation with Japan. In particular, it was noted that there are great opportunities for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries. There are many opportunities for cooperation in the development of the oil and gas and petrochemical, chemical and textile, food industries, energy, agriculture, transport and logistics, financial and banking sectors, as well as Japanese technologies in the main areas of cooperation. Noting that large Japanese companies do business in the Turkmen market, Japanese small and medium-sized companies were invited to cooperate. In this regard, it was proposed to study the possibility of opening a trade mission of Turkmenistan in Japan and consider the possibility of opening a representative office of the Japanese Foreign Trade Organization - JETRO in Turkmenistan.
During the forum, a video about the economic potential of Turkmenistan was shown in order to familiarize the Turkmen market with its export potential.
At the forum, the Turkmen side spoke in special sections, that is, the banking and financial system of Turkmenistan, transport and logistics, and private sector activities. In order to organize direct ties between the Turkmen-Japanese business circles, it was proposed to hold business conferences, exhibitions, business visits, and the Japanese side was invited to the Turkmen capital to hold the next Turkmen-Japanese business forum in Turkmenistan.
