On December 18, 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov began an official visit to Malaysia, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
The state delegation will include representatives from various strategic sectors, including foreign policy, agriculture, culture, education, and the oil and gas industry. On December 19, an official welcoming ceremony for the President of Turkmenistan will take place in the administrative center of Putrajaya, followed by a meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim.
During the talks, a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues are expected to be discussed, including political, economic, trade, energy, technological, logistical, and industrial interactions, as well as education, tourism, and cultural exchanges. Additionally, the parties will exchange views on regional and international issues.
